Ultra-Intelligent Electronic Agents Will Shape the Future – Is Your Company Ready?

I’m a big believer in the idea that all knowledge-based businesses are going to find it increasingly difficult to maintain relevance in the future – at least in their current form using their current business models. Providers or professional services are particularly at risk.
This article on ultra-intelligent agents will give you a sense for why I hold that view. Daniel Burrus, the author of this piece has a history of seeing the future more clearly than most. One of the things that’s great about this article is that he specifically devotes a section of it to “why you need to take notice”. In it he makes the point that the rise of ultra-intelligent agents will be “powerful and disruptive, and it’s not an “if” or a “maybe.””
While there’s much about the future that’s uncertain, the continued rise of ultra-intelligent agents is not one of them.If you’re in a senior management or strategy role in a knowledge-based business you need to understand what these might mean for your business. More importantly, you need to be working on plans to either minimise or capitalise on their disruptive impact.
