The Evolution of the Legal Services Market: A Future History in 5 Stages

I really like this paper for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, it does a wonderful job of describing the disruptive challenges faced by the legal services industry.  These are challenges that I very firmly believe extend way beyond the legal profession to cover most all professional services providers (accountants, engineers, doctors etc.).

Secondly, it provides a very well thought through perspective on the likely evolution of the legal services industry.  In particular, the author does a great job of describing the distinctive features of each of the five phases he believes the industry will transition through.

I highly recommend this article to anyone with an interest in the future of legal services and professional services more generally.
